Story
The time has come to embark on another fundraising challenge for the wonderful charity that is Gingerbread. A few years ago I walked 100km with Lydia at my side to raise money for single parents across the UK. It was an experience that pushed me physically and emotionally, and one that I am so proud to have achieved.
This time I'll be joining in with the #FitinFifty campaign, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first ever Gingerbread peer support group. These groups were set up to combat the loneliness so often felt by single parents, and have become an invaluable lifeline for so many.
For my #FitinFifty challenge I am going to be doing 50 minutes of exercise every day throughout February, aiming for a different type of exercise each day.
To add a little bit of mystery to it, I've got 28 types of exercise on cards to pick from every morning - everything from running to yoga to contemporary dance.
The kind of support that Gingerbread offers to families like mine is truly worth its weight in gold. Any donations you can give would be utterly fantastic.
I'll be attempting to document my progress throughout the challenge. Wish me luck!
