Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·

Shine supports adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have experienced a cancer diagnosis. Too old for children and teenage services but too young for traditional cancer support, we support the people who fall into a devastating cancer support gap.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running the Royal parks half marathon for an amazing small charity called Shine Cancer support. They do loads of great stuff, helping young people who have been diagnosed with cancer.

I won a place in the half through the ballot and decided I wanted to raise money for Shine as one of my friends has been involved with the charity for a number of years following his cancer diagnosis.

I’m not a natural runner (ha!) but I am committed and have been training for the past few months in an attempt to avoid total embarrassment on the day (I really hope I make it round)!!! The longest run I’ve done before is 10k (which is where my cover photo is from) so this is a big step up!

It would be amazing if you could show your support for my efforts and the amazing work that Shine does and help me to stay motivated in the last push by helping me to raise some money :-)

Thank you thank you xxx
