The Engadin Marathon · 10 March 2019

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Dear Friends and Family,

Next weekend we are taking part in the Engadin Ski Marathon, for most of us our first ever endurance challenge.  We are raising funds for Women Supporting Women, a part of the Prince’s Trust.

The Engadin is a renowned annual race of 14,000+ cross country skiers, in the Engadin Valley near St Moritz, and has been going strong for 51 years.

We are an eight-person, all-female team skiing together on the weekend of International Women's Day, defying many of the odds and complications of all our daily lives. Most of us have never considered ourselves cross-country skiers, much less elite endurance athletes, and we are so pleased to have come this far and to be doing this Marathon for a charity we believe in.

Please help us towards our fundraising target of £5,000.

Thank you!
