Since my daughter Jess started at Shinfield Infant School in September and I joined the school PTA I found out how little the government funding for schools covers. Sure they pay for teacher’s salaries and basic essentials but lots of fundraising is need for new equipment from pencils and paper to interactive whiteboards and new books. Funding from the PTA also covers things like new play equipment and painting the playground, all the things that make school FUN for kids and are a big part of their development.

Jess is having the BEST time at Shinfield Infants and I can’t praise the staff there enough. I’d like to give something back to the school that will not just benefit Jess and her classmates but also potentially kids for years to come!

I’ve not run a half marathon race before, so it’s a new challenge for me! Until recently I had only ever run 10km and a half marathon is more than twice that distance!
