The Epilepsy Society is a charity that provides information on the condition, they lead pioneering research in to epilepsy to gain a better understanding of it, and they also raise awareness of the condition through various campaigns. Public research in to Epilepsy suggests that this is still a very misunderstood and stigmatised condition and through campaigning the Epilepsy Society strives to change that. It’s a charity close to my heart as my Mum has suffered from Epilepsy since the age of 9 and it is something that I have grown up with. Epilepsy is very changeable which is something we found out a few years ago when my Mum’s medication stopped being as effective. But thanks to the research carried out by charities such as the Epilepsy society, different medication can be made for the condition and it can save lives.

Starting on 19th June 2013, my work colleagues are taking part in a 225kms bike ride in France, where they’ll be cycling from Paris to Orleans via Fontainebleau to raise money for my chosen charity along with 9 local hospices and Sightsavers International through sponsorship from our companies clients. I will be the support vehicle for the mammoth ride, driving across France and supporting the team and providing well needed snacks, water and encouragement along the way.  I understand that I'm not working as hard for my money here, so if you would like to donate to one of my amazing friends with the peddle power they have pages here to for their own preferred charity

Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions team have raised over £75,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £100,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next four years from our cycling fundraising. For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise £500+ for the Epilepsy Society.

Cellular Solutions will match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000.  Our overall total fundraising target for the event is £30,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.
