Story
In July 2017, myself and other TRIBE members will run/ride 2,000km in two weeks from Sarajevo to London as part of a campaign to raise £1M to fight human trafficking.
Running an average of 35 miles a day and then cycling an average of 125 miles a day, in extreme heat across Europe's highest mountains. This has been billed as the world's toughest duathlon.
Run for Love is our way of defying the injustice of modern slavery. We want to put an end to human trafficking. 50% of funds will go to charity Unseen, to fund the pioneering Modern Slavery Helpline. The remaining 50% of funds will go to a project providing vital rehabilitation and support for victims .
I will be running 210 miles in 6 days (the equivalent of over 8 marathons, including one 44 mile day) from Sarajevo, over the mountains of Montenegro and Bosnia, to Zagreb, in Croatia. I will then be taking on 1,050 miles by bike across Europe from Zagreb to London in just nine days. This means cycling up to 140 brutal miles per day through the Alps.
This is by far the toughest challenge I have ever taken on. Frankly, I'm terrified.
Please give generously... absolutely every penny counts. Anything at all you can give will have an impact, and will be hugely appreciated.
