Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

The first thing to say is that I am NOT a seasoned runner-but having been given a pair of running shoes for Christmas and vowing that I WOULD put them to good use I decided in a moment of madness that it would be a challenge and a great achievement to do the Bristol Half Marathon and to raise some money for a good cause at the same time. How I  am going to manage this (the running bit) I am still not quite sure,  but having today completed the Bristol 10K and thoroughly enjoyed the experience I am beginning to believe that my goal is achievable, after all it's only twice as far!!!!!:(

As far as the raising money for a good cause goes, I have decided to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. There cannot be a single person who has not been affected by cancer in some way, and the work that Marie Curie nurses do to support the families of cancer sufferers is absolutely fantastic.

How much I raise is in a large part down to you, so please sponsor me generously and I will keep up the training!!
