Story

Familly and Friends will be running/walking the Hastings Half Marathon in memory of our beautiful baby boy Connor Ivan Madge. The donations will be going towards a charity close to our hearts. "Ickle Pickles"  who raise money for babies born to small and to sick. Like our little man. Connor was born at 24 weeks and 4 days in November 2012. His due date wasn't until the 7th March 2013. We were rushed to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmorth who were amazing. Connor spent a happy Nine weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit, he was finally well enough to travel to Brighton Hospital, where he spent Ten weeks. After several operations to make him better he was finally wearing clothes for the first time and even having bottles, having cuddles with him everyday was the best feeling ever. Connor was nearly ready to be moving over to the children's hospital because he was such a big boy now, it was not meant to be, Connor began to struggle, we stayed by his side until the very end, my baby boy was just too tired in the end, he fought his hardest as did the doctors and nurses who we are so greatful. At 10.06am on the 2nd April 2013 my little man fell asleep in my arms forever. That was the hardest day in mine and Ryan's life. We are all so greatful for everyone's support and this run means so much to us, it means we can give back to the amazing people that helped our son, so please don't hesitate every penny counts xxxxx
