Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

We did the 2nd GNR over 30 years ago. Since Daniel died in 2012 we have attended the run to support both our daughter Ruth and nephew Faf.

Last year I felt so guilty watching all those marvelous runners and decided then that we would participate as a family this year. Seemed so easy last time, a few runs before the race and off we went, what a shock. Since January I have been hobbling my way around the countryside, my joints ache and muscles throb that I did not know existed. Julian lives in Dubai and is training in the heat... not easy.

So for our marvellous son and in support of Leukaemia research we ask if you can support us in our efforts to raise as much as we can, thanks in anticipation.
