Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 4th May I will be setting off from my office in the City alongside a number of my esteemed colleagues from Investigo to undertake one of the hardest challenges I have taken on for a while ! To understand why, please read below.....

We will be cycling for 3 days, covering 266 miles, finishing in Cologne on 7th May whilst raising money for an incredibly worthwhile cause. By supporting me with your donation you will be helping Investigo change lives as they raise money for Centre for Mental Health, a small charity based in Elephant and Castle.

We will be raising money to fund a research project by the Centre for Mental Health, in affiliation with the Samaritans, that will be targeting ‘Zero Suicide’.

Suicide has increased at an alarming rate in the UK over the past five years and the majority of people who take their own lives are not in contact with specialist mental health providers at the time of their death.

We will be wholly funding Centre for Mental Health's research into this crucial area, which will bring best practice together across the UK, from our local authorities’ approach to earlier intervention to those who require help. Best practice can then be communicated out across the UK's practices to influence both process and approach.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Poverty, injustice and discrimination put some people at a much higher risk of poor mental health – but less likely to receive the right support. Our work is driving forward sustainable policy change, to pursue equality, social justice and good mental health for all.
