After we left Ashford School, Debbie was the lynchpin for making sure we all kept in touch - organising annual gatherings and never forgetting birthdays.. and this later extended to sending birthday and christmas presents to ALL our kids each year without fail...
We all visited Debbie in Cayman and Miami throughout her illness. Her unflinching generosity, kindness and bravery over these months was truly a lesson of life and death. After she died, we promised ourselves we'd continue to meet up regularly. At our last dinner some bright spark (I'm thinking Katy) suggested we take part in the Women V Cancer bike ride. So here we are... Debbie would have been amused :-)
