Thank you so much to everyone who gave money to Age UK.  Unfortunately I've had to pull out due to an injury.  Very very frustrating!  I'd done all the training in the snow, rain and cold and I still want to raise more money.  I'll be back next year...

I volunteer with Age UK at the weekends and I can see what a big difference this charity makes to the lives of older people.  Some can be very lonely and isolated and your money can help make a difference. 

Age UK provide practical help such as fitting locks and alarms or provding advice and information but they also visit people in their homes to make sure they're okay.  As people get older they can feel very isolated and lonely, particularly if they're just out of hospital or their spouse has just died.  Not everyone is lucky enough to have friends or family to drop in on them - your donation could help make sure that someone isn't forgotten about.
