Pedal Paddle Peak 2023
Campaign by Muscular Dystrophy UK (RCN 205395 (England and Wales) - SC039445 (Scotland))
Teams of two and four will Pedal, Paddle, Peak, through the beautiful Lake District on Saturday 1 July to help beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

We're an all-female team from academia, medicine & IT coming together with a single purpose of raising funds for an important charity while also staying active. We liked the concept of this unique triathlon presented by PPP.

On July 1st, we'll be cycling 30 miles of undulating route in Penrith, canoeing 2 miles as a team of four in the Ullswater Lake and summitting the Helvellyn Peak to finish off the challenge.

The team consists of Hema, Jackie, Kate and Laura - The Missing I :)

Our cover photo is of us attempting to canoe as a four with our furry friends this long weekend. After a hilarious start where one team just couldn't get the hang of things and kept going round in circles, we hooked each other's inflatables for a pleasant ride up and down the river Avon from Locksbrook Inn and back

We then combined it with a 6-mile circular walk along Englishcombe, South Stoke & Combe Hay.

Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for 111,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions. They are making a difference today, providing vital information and support to help people live as independently as possible. They are making a difference for tomorrow, accelerating progress in research and driving the campaign for access to emerging treatments.
