Kate Snow is raising money for Leukaemia Care

Team: Team Clayton Glasgow

Great north Run · 10 September 2023

Leukaemia Care provides vital support, information and advice to anyone whose life has been affected by a blood cancer. We not only support patients, but carers and families too whose lives are impacted when someone they know and loves receives a diagnosis.

Story

Clayton Hotel Glasgow City Team Members Hazel Galloway, Martyn Agnew, Heather Brough, Peter Cairns, David Durie, Kate Snow, and David Sealy will be traveling to Newcastle on the 10th September 2023 to take part in the AJ Bell Great North Run Half Marathon in aid of our charity partner Leukaemia Care.

Leukaemia Care is the UK’s leading leukaemia charity. For over 50 years, Leukaemia Care have been dedicated to ensuring that everyone affected by leukaemia receives the best possible diagnosis, information, advice, treatment and support.

Through our joint program – CAR-T Away From Home, the Leukaemia Care and the Dalata partnership will support leukaemia patients aged between 0-25 years old. The hotel group will be providing long stay accommodation close to the hospitals that can administer a new treatment called CAR-T, which requires daily hospital visits for around 30 days.

Only 9 hospitals in Great Britain offer this treatment and the locations match conveniently with Dalata hotels, with this project ensuring it is possible for patients to get the treatment they need. Through fundraising, financial grants are also offered to these patients to help buy food and cover any additional travel costs while receiving treatment.

All donations are deeply appreciated :)
