London Marathon 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

Tommy's funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. We’re dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

Story

We're running for Tommy's, the charity where Kate works.

Tommy's make pregnancy and birth safer by funding research into pregnancy complications and baby loss, and by giving all pregnant women safe and evidence-based information and advice.

Sadly, 1 in 4 babies are lost in pregnancy, or are born too soon, and everything that Tommy's do is geared towards changing that figure.

This is something that has affected our friends and family, and Kate has also met lots of amazing parents through Tommy's who have lost their babies, but gone on to do the most amazing things to raise money and awareness. Now it's our turn!

We've been slogging our guts out, running around in the cold, dark, wind and rain (following Stu's rigid and punishing training plan!) in preparation and even though we are both regular runners, it's been bloody hard!

Any pennies you can chuck our way will be going to a really good cause. It's the first time either of us have run a marathon, and anything you can spare will mean the world to us and really help get us round those 26 miles in April.

You can find out lots more about Tommy's and the work they do here: www.tommys.org

Lots of love, Kate and Stu x
