I am skydiving for Beat to raise funds to support them in the amazing work they do for people living with eating disorders, their promotion of eating disorder research, their support for family and friends of individuals living with eating disorders, and their campaigns to spread eating disorder awareness and reduce eating disorder stigma worldwide.

I have been living with binge eating disorder myself on and off for the past ten years. This is a topic very close to my heart. I have previously trekked the Sahara Desert for Beat and now I am taking on the skies! 

In my personal life and in my research at the Centre for Appearance Research at UWE Bristol, I am passionate about eating disorder research, reducing weight stigma, and promoting positive body image. I hope that by taking part in this skydive, I can show others that their body is amazing just the way it is - it can trek deserts, jump from planes, and dive in the deepest oceans (this will be my next goal!). Your body is so much more than what it looks like. Your body is freaking amazing!
