Flora London Marathon 2003 · 13 April 2003 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Hi!

I'm pleased to say that I scucessfully completed the 2003 Flora London Marathon in 4 hours, 37 minutes and 13 seconds.

In fact, I'm more than a bit pleased, I want to shout it from the roof tops!!

It was a fantastic day and I actually really enjoyed the experience. The really hard training coincided with the re-introduction of Cadburys creme eggs into the shops which was a real bonus, but a major motivation was knowing how much the arthritis research campaign rely on events like this for fundraising and all the sponsor money everyone had pledged.

Thanks to those that have sponsored me, and to those that haven't there is still time yet! Sponsoring me online is a really efficient way for me to collect money for the Arthritis Research Campaign and for them to claim gift aid on your donation (28p in every pound).

Thanks again for your support and generous donations. I have exceeded my fundraising target and hope to finally raise in excess of £2700 for ARC in memory of my Grandma.

Kath
