In November I will be running, jogging, walking and most likely crawling the New York Marathon with my nearest and dearest Naomi and Stacey to celebrate our 30th Birthdays. I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for a charity/organisation and wanted to do so for one that had touched me in some way. 

In 2008 one of our best friends, Charlie, lost her husband to Cancer. His last days were in spent at the Phylis Tuckwell Hospice where he was cared and looked after by the most wonderful people. At the time Charlie was 8 months pregnant and the hospice did everything they could to support her and the rest of the family under such traumatic circumstances. 

With beds, equipment, health care nurses and therapists, both home and in-patient care it costs the Hospice over £15,000 A DAY to run. The support given to the family and friends of a cancer patient can make the world of difference and I'd like to show my thanks and appreciation by raising money for the Phylis Tuckwell Hospice in Honor of Joe and his family.
