Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page set up in memory of Katie Law aged 29, who passed away on the 11th February 2012 after a brave 7 month battle.

I have known Katie for 17 years, she was a popular, fun loving person who had a great personality, never failing to make me smile. The only other organised run I have taken part in was the Great south run in September 2010, were Katie was there cheering me on, and I no in spirit she will be at this one too.

Katie was so positive throughout her illness, I admire her for her strength and bravery she showed. She really was unique and special to many people.

This is my first marathon, I have been training very hard please donate now in memory of Katie, for those of you that knew Katie as I cross the finish line, I will be sure to give it the famous Katie thumbs up pose.
