Thanks very much for visiting my fund raising page.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical and financial support for those diagnosed with cancer and their families.  It also pushes for better cancer care.

Anyone whose life has been effected by cancer (and with one-in-three getting cancer that is all too many of us) will have experienced first hand the good work that Macmillan do.  When Mum was unwell the at-home support and care provided by the Macmillan nurses was essential.

It is for this reason I've decided to try my hand at fund raising.   Having accepted my limitations and that I will never run a marathon (far too many bits to wobble!), I've decided to hike one instead.  Off road.  Over hills....  The walk itself (Avebury to Salisbury - to be completed in a day) is just over 26 miles - and will be a challenge for me - so all support (for both my hiking endeavour and for a charity which means so much to me) would be very gratefully received!
