Skydive Update

The original date was postponed due to bad weather.  I eventually jumped from the plane on the 11th April.

A huge thank you to everyone that has sponsored me.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for WaterAid as part of the Business4Life 2014/15 team.

On the 28th March I'll be jumping out of a plane at approx 10,000ft travelling up to speeds of 120mph.

I'm petrified of heights so signing up to do a Skydive probably wasn't the best idea, plus there is an added challenge of losing weight to meet the strict criteria set by the skydiving company.

Over the past year of Business4Life I have met some very inspiring volunteers and staff at WaterAid and seen that the donations made really do make a huge difference to the charity.

1 in 10 of the world's population still do not have access to safe drinking water and over 500,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

WaterAid have set the target to achieve universal access to water and sanitation globally by 2030. Just £15 can provide one person with access to safe water.

Please help me to change lives by raising money to provide clean water and sanitation and help WaterAid to meet this goal.

Thank you for your support

Congratulations to Graeme Jones, the winner of the Supercar Track Day.

Simply make a £2 donation on this JustGiving page and the money will be sent directly to WaterAid.

For every £2 donated your name will be entered into the raffle to win a

supercar track day experience at a number of locations across the UK.

The more you donate the more chances you have of winning.

**However, please note that your donation cannot claim Gift Aid. Please

check your account settings if you are a registered user of JustGiving**

When you donate you need to UNTICK a box that declares ‘I’m not

donating on behalf of a group, company or someone and I’m not getting

a ticket, product or service in return for my donation.’

So you can be notified if you win after the draw on the 9th December,

please tick a box saying that it’s ok for me to see your email address.

Congratulations to Gerry Somers as the winner of the raffle for 3 x Manchester United tickets to watch the game against Chelsea at Old Trafford on the 26th October.

My next raffle will be launched soon...

This summer, we’re helping WaterAid to re-write the story for 130,000 girls around the world

What does it mean to be a girl?

Being a girl means something different to all of us. Perhaps it means to be happy, determined, carefree, feisty or particular? But for millions of girls around the world, to be a girl means something very, very different.

To be a girl without access to clean, safe water means your role of collecting water can stop you from going to school. It means back-breaking walks carrying heavy containers - often several times a day.

To be a girl without access to a toilet means there’s nowhere private to go to the loo and going in the open leaves you vulnerable to prying eyes.

To be a girl living without access to safe water and toilets means displaying incredible physical and emotional strength, day after day.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

This summer you can be part of something amazing. You can help WaterAid to change the story for girls around the world, giving 130,000 girls the future they deserve.

Until 9 September the UK Government will match every donation made to WaterAid’s ‘To be a girl’ appeal: doubling the difference for girls around the world.
