On October 14th 2012 a very special baby boy died. He was just 32 days old. In memory of Zac and to show our support for Milly, Andy and Ella, David and I have decided to run the Great south run together.

Our hope is to raise as much money as we can for Great Ormond Street who provided Zac's care. For us the Great South Run seemed especially appropriate as it falls very close to Zac's anniversary.

On a personal note I have trained really hard for this. The Great South run is just over a 10 mile course. Until January 2013 I hadn't done any running in over 5 years and this is much further than either David or I had ever managed prior to training. I have set myself a slightly ambitious time of 1 hour 40 and I am working really hard to achieve this..... David however will probably manage a better time without nearly as much training!

David is currently proposing to also run the race wearing some suitably ridiculous fancy dress outfit. Open to suggestions (within reason) and the idea that generates the most money/votes wins.
