Rwanda First Hand Experience Trip 2022 · 29 July 2022 to 7 August 2022 ·

A group of female teachers from the UK will be travelling to Rwanda in the summer of 2022 to help build classrooms and a toilet block at Group Scolaire school in the village of Muko, northern Rwanda.

Story

As an educator in the UK, I see and feel the power of education to alter lives every single day - especially in areas of deprivation.  To have a school system that, however imperfect it may be,  aims to make sure all young people have a chance to achieve is something we should be proud of in this country. In Rwanda, young people do not all have this opportunity and this is my small way of putting my morals/beliefs into action for the good of others. The funds raised here will be used to buy materials to build classrooms for children in the Musanze District of Rwanda so that they have a chance to learn, to know they are part of  a bigger world that cares about them and to have an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.

Yes I’ll  be shovelling earth, mixing concrete and hefting wheelbarrows...that alone should compel you to donate!

Whether a penny or a pound, your support will be making a direct impact so thank you in advance.
