St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

On Sunday 21st May my brothers and I lost our mum. She will be deeply missed as a truly special mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie and friend to many.

The days since have been incredibly hard but amongst the grief there has been so much joy in the house as we share memories and remember Mum for everything that she was.

We'll never forget our final days with her and we're so thankful to St.Gemma's Hospice for being so accommodating, caring and ensuring that Mum was as pain free as possible during her stay.

We'd be honoured to contribute towards this Leeds-based charity who need to raise £9million each year to keep all their services free.

In order to do so my brothers and I will be taking on the Yorkshire Tough Mudder on the 30th July alongside Lewys and Thomas Forsey as the returning team 'Brass Club 5', joined by friends Thomas Moran and Anna Magelakis.

Any donations are more than welcome but if you happen to have a little memory of Kath you'd like to share, please feel free to include it. Thats assuming you can fit it within the 200 word count (might be pretty tricky!) but we'd hugely appreciate it. These little memories mean so much to us now.

Thanks again for all the amazing support, we're so thankful. It has been truly incredible to see how much she was loved.
