Hello, my name is Kathryn and I have been a primary school teacher for 14years. During Spring Harvest 2018 I felt that God called me to be a part of the Mercy Ships family, serving as a teacher in the Academy. 

I believe that God gave me the gift of teaching young children, it is something I love to do and serving on board Africa Mercy as a teacher will allow me to share Jesus with people in a very real and practical way. I have been serving on the Africa Mercy since July 2019 as the Grade 1 teacher in the academy, serving the country of Senegal. I am excited about this part of my walk with God, stepping out in faith and serving him in another nation to help bring hope and healing.

Serving with Mercy Ships comes with some financial cost for the current 3 years commitment. These costs include a flights to and from the ship, vaccinations, testing requirements, insurance and monthly crew fees to serve on-board.
