Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I....Kathryn Griffin...(who has never run more than 5 miles in her life) has decided to take on the (not inconsiderable) challenge of running the London Marathon IN APRIL

UPDATE 23/3/12: Due to a knee injury (iliotibial band syndrome for the medics amongst you)...I've had to defer my place for a year...but all your donations still count so keep giving!! I'm determined to run an even better time next year...bring on 2013!!

I'm running for the Circulation Foundation http://www.circulationfoundation.org.uk/ which is the UK's only dedicated vascular disease charity. It was set up to fund research into, and awareness of, vascular disease. Vascular disease is common and affects 4 million people each year in the UK alone, and accounts for 200,000 preventable deaths.

The effects of problems affecting the circulation system include strokes, burst blood vessels (aneurysms), leg ulcers, varicose veins, gangrene and amputation. More research is urgently needed to find ways of preventing and treating these diseases more effectively so please give generously!!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
