Square Pegs Arts

We run Theatre and Arts projects to help people with learning disabilities

Charity Registration No. 1177858

Yes I am really running a marathon!  This January was the sixth anniversary of my miraculous healing.  God began a healing in my body mind and soul that continues today.  In celebration of all that he has done to make it possible I’m running the Brighton marathon to raise money for Square Pegs.

I doubt many of you generously sponsoring me will of heard of it until now.  Based in Kent, Square Pegs is quite frankly nothing short of a heaven sent hidden treasure. Founded by an incredible lady, a friend of my cousin, who had a heart for drama reaching, teaching and lifting the souls of autistic young people and those with a wide variety of additional needs. (‘It is now an award winning Charity that runs Theatre and Arts groups and projects for children, young people and adults who have learning disabilities, autism, social communication difficulties or who struggle to ‘fit in’ with mainstream activities.‘)

Through workshops teenagers gain self esteem, confidence and experience that promotes language, cooperation and collaboration.  Autistic young people live in a world that bombards them daily with confusion, Overwhelms them on an hourly basis with more sensory stimulation than they can often handle and that mostly doesn’t seek to even see their world through their eyes to try and understand not even for a fleeting moment.

So when you find an adult with a passion for going against the grain.  Someone who has a gift for bringing out the best when others don’t know how to, don’t try or don’t even care enough to bother. You celebrate her, honour her, get behind her and run your ass off for her so she can keep doing what she and her team are doing.

I’ve set an aspirational target because I believe in a God that can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.  I’d love to run that day knowing that as every mile passes it’s £100 for Square Peg.

I worked out if

one person sponsors me £262, two people £131,

four people £66,  eight people £33, ten people £26,

twenty people £13, Fifty people £10

One hundred people £5

One hundred people £2.50

I’ll smash my target!!!!   Please sponsor me with whatever donation you are able.

If you’d like to be more inspired to donate please watch the video at the top of this link.
