Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year we raised £500 for for SwimSafe. This enabled 46 children to be taught basic survival swimming skills .During daylight hours, 1 child drowns every 45 seconds in Asia. SwimSafe is a charity that teaches basic survival swimming to children reducing the number of deaths from drowning in countries like Thailand, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
Saving so many childrens lives has inspired us to try and match the amount we raised last year and help prevent more children from drowning. This year Nicola and Kathryn are joining Phil in the Great North Swim. Kathryn has been training hard as she previously could only swim a few lengths of the pool without stopping! Later in the month Nicola and Phil are attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge - to climb the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. Nicola has been walking to school as part of her training but there aren’t many mountains in Ashby! We would be very grateful for your support.
Thankyou, Philip, Kathryn, Nicola (12), Rebecca (10), Hannah (7)
