Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Hello all!

Well... It's official! I've agreed to climb Ben Nevis in September for Marie Curie.

I have seen the wonderful work of this charity for many years and have witnessed their hard work and commitment to ensure that those who are terminally ill have the highest quality of life as possible. We never know when we may receive the heart breaking news that someone we love has a limited time left, but we can only hope that when this time comes, they will be given all of the love, dignity and care that they need. We also want someone to walk us through this incredibly painful time too. This is Marie Curie. Care and support for patients, and all those walking alongside them in their journey.

In their own words:

'We're are here to help you and everyone affected by your diagnosis to achieve the best quality of life, and support you to keep your independence and dignity for as long as possible.

This includes treating or managing pain and other symptoms with medicines, therapies and other specialist approaches. It also means giving emotional support to you and your family when you need it most.'

Also, most of you know that I love gin, chocolate and all things that involve sitting down. It would mean the world to me if you could support and motivate me as I get training for this hike. IT WILL BE SO WORTH IT!  Please donate.
