Story

Kidney Research UK fund life-changing research into kidney disease, and I'm very proud that they have funded my research over the last three years. Their support has enabled me to develop my own research, such that I recently began my first permanent role as a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University in the North-East of England. I would not have been able to achieve this without the help of Kidney Research UK.

The 2.6 Challenge has been launched by the organisers of the London Marathon to help save the UK's charities during the pandemic. On Sunday 26th April, the day that the London Marathon would have taken place, my family and I will be trying to find 26 streams or ditches or muddy puddles to jump in and raise money for Kidney Research UK. Let's just hope it rains before then!
