Pendleside Hospice believes in nurturing and caring for those in our local community affected by advancing long term and life limiting illness, through to end of life care and bereavement, by providing a range of comprehensive and easily accessible services to support them on their journey.

Story

Georgia has asked if she can give up sweets and chocolates for Lent and donate the money saved to Pendleside Hospice.

Georgia had some precious visits with her Grandad at Pendleside, during his last days. The staff were amazing, laughed and joked with us all, welcomed us warmly and Grandad was very obviously well cared for and happy there.

These visits gave Georgia opportunity to bake jam tarts for her Grandads big appetite, create pictures to display in his room and enjoy the best snuggles.

Now the challenge has been set and I can't let her do it alone, so us chocolate-chops are giving up our tasty treats and donating the money saved to Pendleside. If anyone wants to give up a Mars or two and donate their savings also, we would love it and you'll give us a boost (seeing as there'll be no sugar-rushes for a while!)
