Story
I haven’t been declared clinically insane, but I may be coming pretty close… in just 10 DAYS (*she says…*) Bekah Etheridge and I will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon.
I only began running three and a half years ago, against my former promise to myself NEVER to do any exercise… well, now look where we are!
Two years ago next Sunday I’m going to be running this race for the second time. It was a massive healing process for me personally the first time, having just lost my best friend, Katia Kvacheva, to her four year battle with leukaemia.
Kat fought her cancer uncomplaining and in her last moment of consciousness, raised her hands high and said ‘Thank you’. Quite simply: thank you.
Whereas I (foolishly) thought it was something that I had got out of my system 2 years ago, it never leaves you. I saw an AMAZING response last time and managed to raise £800 for CLIC Sargent, a charity that supports young cancer sufferers and their families. Thanks to you all!
Today and every day I lift my hands in thanks for all that I have and today I ask you to do the same. Raise your hands in thanks and raise your funds and donate.
EVERY LITTLE HELPS! Thank you so much J
