Most of you know my story and the journey we have all taken in our Family’s grief and recovery. Finally we were pregnant with a child that was going to complete our family after like so many women, experiencing a miscarriage. 

As weeks turned to months, we became excited, made plans, bought our dream nursery, chose names and started playing for a future. Unfortunately at 26 weeks and 2 days, our plans came crushing down and Elena gave up her long fight. We had to go through birth and a funeral for our beloved stillborn, never to take a breath. 

With support of all our family, friends and talking to organisations like child bereavement uk, we didn’t feel alone and knew no matter what, one day our loss would not disappear but become a ‘new normal’. 

These organisations are so important to help and support mums, parents and family’s that have lost a child, no matter what age.
