Snowdon Climb for MND · 19 June 2021

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My husband,Terry, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in Dec 2020.

Our world was turned upside down when we were told that his life expectancy would be three to five years as we have a little girl who is just 11 - there is no treatment or cure which means very little hope.

"Motor neurone disease happens when cells in the brain and nerves, called motor neurones, gradually stop working. It's not known why this happens."

BUT .. the amazing research that is currently being funded across the UK means there is hope! We have to keep looking and find something that gives MND sufferers something to be hopeful for.

There is a 1 in 300 risk of getting MND across a lifetime.

SO ... with the help of some amazing friends, I will be climbing Snowdon on the 19th June to raise crucial funds for the charity.

Please donate whatever you can, no amount is too small.

Thank you

Katie, Terry & Charlotte
