I'm running the 2024 London Marathon for Team Breathe!

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute. My mum was diagnosed with IPF at age 60 and died just under 2 years later in 2021. I had already lost my Grandad to the same disease in 2011.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a lung condition that scars your lungs and makes it difficult to breathe. It’s a condition that gets gradually worse over time. The scar tissue in the lungs cannot be repaired by the body or any drugs, and there is currently no treatment that stops or reverses the scarring.
I'm running The London Marathon 2023 for Asthma + Lung UK in memory of my mum and grandad. This charity is dedicated to providing support, driving research, and creating awareness about lung diseases, including IPF, so hopefully in the future, this condition can be effectively treated.
If you are able to spare some money for this charity to help me reach my goal, I’d be very grateful. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. Thank you for your support!
