Brighton Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Tha year my youngest brother James and I are taking part in the 2014 Brighton Marathon.

This will be the second marathon for both of us as we took part in the London Marathons of 2012 and 2013 respectively.

We have both raised good amounts of money for charity on those two previous marathons and would like to raise some money again when we both run the Brighton Marathon and could not think of many charities more deserving of the cause than Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are raising money for GOSH as an incentive/motivation to keep us going during difficult times of the training and the race itself. The children and families at Great Ormond street have to go through things that are difficult to comprehend, so we feel the very least we can do is run this marathon to try and raise some money to help make those difficult times just a little more bearable.

Every donation helps Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity to provide the best facilities and equipment, research and develop new treatments, and support their remarkable patients and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate as little or as much you can afford.

Your support could help make a big difference and will be greatly appreciated not only by the children and people working at GOSH but also by the children's families. Less significantly James and myself will also be very thankful too.

Many Thanks

Katie & James
