Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 7th November 2008 my families life was turned upside down, when my 5 years old son Liam was admitted to hospital. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

I can’t describe in words just how traumatic this was and how ignorant I was of the disease.. Diabetes is absolutely a manageable illness but the amount of effort and knowledge to keep alive and well is extremely vast everyday is a challenge and hard work. The teenage years well they have been hell at times!

However one promise I made to Liam is that I would always make sure he never missed out and that he could have and do anything a normal child did, even if this meant we did things slightly different.

So today the day after my boy turned 18 we have decided to push those boundaries even more and do something terrifying cos nothing will ever be as terrifying or more challenging than that date in November 2008.

If you could spare anything small or large we would really appreciate it as we would not be where we are today without the support we’ve received.

Here’s a little information and something to watch out for the just remember the four T’s
