Story
Hi everyone,
This year I'm taking part in Trailwalker with a great team of three other women and the support of two guys from work. We'll be walking 100km across the south of the UK in 30 hours non-stop (including through the night) on 14th July 2018.
The money we raise will go towards helping Oxfam end poverty across the world and also support the Gurka Welfare Trust.
There's a lot of depressing news going on at the moment and we thought it would be a good way to do something good and uplifting while stretching ourselves physically and mentally (see below...)
We've been doing a lot of practice walks over the last few months which have resulted in blisters, bad hips, sore knees and the occasional bout of hysteria and grumpiness :)
If you can find a spare few quid, I would be really grateful. If money's a bit tight, then good wishes and encouraging words will also be much appreciated!
Here's an example of what our team can do if we reach our target:
Provide live-saving hygiene kits to protect 241 parents and children in Niger from waterbourne disease. Kits include water purification tablets, safe water storage, cups and soap.
Thanks in advance,
Kate xxx
