I am extremely lucky in that I absolutely love my job as Marketing & Press Officer for Theatre Royal Wakefield. I love my colleagues, I love the work I do, I love the fact that my job is basically about making sure as many people enjoy the theatre as physically possible and I love the beautiful Victorian building I work in.

My theatre is currently raising funds to build a brand new Centre for Creativity in the empty space (currently a car park) next to the theatre. It will include a brand new cafe/bar so that there's more room and, crucially, step free access for theatre patrons, and also a 100-seat studio theatre meaning that up-and-coming theatre makers, comedians, spoken word, children's shows and other groups will have a suitable space in which to perform the work they do.

I'd have to really want this to happen in order to do something as ridiculous as abseil down Wakefield Cathedral dressed as Sleeping Beauty. I have been assured there will be five lovely army people there to ensure I don't die so please help support my madness and the amazing work the theatre does by sponsoring me today. Thanks!
