We are running the Richmond Marathon on 11th September 2022 in proud support of Mermaids. They are a fantastic charity who provide support for transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse children, young people and their families.

In a time where the media and government in the UK are going out of their way to make life harder for trans people, the work that Mermaids do has never been more important. Everyone deserves to have the confidence and safety to explore their identities, yet two in five trans people have experienced a hate crime or incident because of their gender identity in the past 12 months. The relentless media scaremongering poses a very real risk to the safety of trans people.
