I'm taking on the Great Manchester Run 2019 to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provide specialist dementia nurses who provide dementia care to families in need, enabling them to live more positively with dementia.

My grandad was diagnosed with dementia 2013 and I have seen first hand the impact this disease has had on my family. I started running last year after overcoming pneumonia and this year I plan to make my grandad proud by running 10km. I want to raise awareness and raise money for further research. I’m lucky that my grandad does remember me, but he is deteriorating and needs more and more care. I can’t wait to complete this for him and make him really proud!
