Walk 100km in March

Walk 100km in March · 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025 ·
Many of you will know, but for those who don't, this is my story.
I rescued Jura, at the time a 15 month old staffy, from the SSPCA. She was siezed at the young age of 12 months as a welfare case along with other dogs and animals. Her short life before is unknown, As with many rescues. However, it has not affected her. With some adjustment into a new routine and basic training, she has fit right in. If you beleive in fate, it was meant to be. With her mesmerising golden eyes and waggiest tail. She has from the start always been the most loving, affectionate, clever and friendliest big sister to Fern, my other puppy. The goofiest girl with the sweetest nature, just happy to have a sofa to call her own. She loves food, showing off her 'sit' for treats, exploring on walks, stealing socks, meeting new people and their dogs, but most of all, shes happiest curled up as close to me and Fern as possible for a nap. They say she's lucky to have been rescued, but I say, I'm the lucky one and she rescued me.
After I lost my much cherished first companion Harley, I always vowed to rescue a dog in need. So this March, my dogs and i together are taking on the challenge to walk 100km to support them.
Every kilometre I cover will be logged through Strava and every penny I raise will go directly to support their vital work rescuing, rehabilitating, caring and rehoming the animals across Scotland.
If you're able to donate, it would mean the world to me, and change the world for animals in situations just like Jura's. ❤️
If you would like to help us in another way, i would be grateful for Sharing our story with my just giving link and following us on this journey.
Much love
Katie, Fern & Jura x
In 2023, the Scottish SPCA responded to over 76,000 reports of animals in need; an average of 209 calls every day. These calls often involve animals suffering from neglect, injury, or abandonment. The Scottish SPCA provides them with medical care, shelter, and the chance to find loving homes.
By supporting my challenge, you’re helping ensure that animals in need receive the care and compassion they deserve. Together, we can make a real difference.
