Story

UPDATE - We managed to do the walk in around 8 hours, and without sustaining any major injuries! We'd like to say thank you to those who have donated, and remind those who haven't that they've still got time to support us. Thanks!

Hi! It's Katie here. Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this page :)

I'll get straight to the point - My Dad suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia.

He was diagnosed four years ago, and has progressively deteriorated since. I've seen these chronic conditions take over his life, and I feel that I want to do something to help people like my Dad, who suffer, day in, day out, at the hands of arthritis.

I've also dragged my poor best friend, Amy, into joining me! :)

We're planning on walking from the picturesque Derbyshire village of Youlgrave back to our hometown of Belper. (According to Google, it's about 18 miles or so).

We're going to do it all in one day, on the 30th August.

Arthritis is no walk in the park, and we want to do something to raise awareness for this often overlooked disease.
