Marie Curie is an amazing charity that believes everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. They provide excellent care and support, not just for patients, but for their loved ones as well by providing essential services such as information & support about home nursing and hospice care, as well as bereavement support services for those that are left behind.

As part of my fundraising, I will be trekking to Mt. Everest Base Camp in September 2022 and completing a trek over 2 weeks that will see me go to altitudes over 5,500m. This will challenge me both physically and mentally, however this won’t nearly compare to the sadness and grief people and their loved ones find themselves in when they are faced with a terminal illness. All the money that I raise from completing this challenge will go directly to Marie Curie to help them continue the astonishing work that they do.
