Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

The BHF has been a big part of my family for as long as I remember, going right the way back to my Nan! My dad and ‘Uncle’ Gavin used to take part in the London-Southend Bike ride every year raising vital funds for the BHF. As a young girl, it was always a dream that I would get to partake in the event as well and join my two hero’s as they cross the finish line. I have fond memories trying to spot them coming and then demanding to ride my dad’s bike on the way back to the car with my legs far too short to reach the pedals! Every year my legs would grow longer and i’ld patiently wait to turn 18. We unfortunately lost my ‘Uncle’ Gavin before I could complete the ride with them and I then became unwell with a poorly heart so I had to wait a few years and now the time has finally come!!!!

Without the help of the BHFs research and an epic cardiologist team, I would not be in the position that I am now to be able to take part in events such as this!!

It really will be one of my proudest moments when I cross that finish line and I know my Uncle Gavin will be with me every step off the way, laughing at the fact that after all these years, I held my word to him and stole dads bike to completely the journey with!

The BHF have done so much for my family over the years alongside helping many others and I would love to raise even a small amount of money to go towards helping them! I am so thankful to anything that anyone donates ☺️
