For several months now Barney Light, Matt Ogden, Anika Patel and I have been walking steadily longer distances to practice for a 100k (62 mile) Oxfam charity walk in July. The walk has to be completed in 30 hours so will include short breaks but no sleep!
Our longest practice walk was 40 miles/64 km (Cranbrook in Kent to Hastings in E Sussex) and took 15 hours including breaks. I'm used to running long distances but am finding this really, really tough!!
Unfortunately Anika became injured following the 40 miler but will continue to be part of our support team. Red Todd-Bennett has stepped in to become our new 4th team member!
