COCO’s purpose is to provide education to create the opportunity for children to break the cycle of poverty. We are currently working with communities in remote areas of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Our vision is a world where every child, everywhere has access to quality education.

Story

Cintra HR & Payroll Services will be celebrating Payroll Week which this year theme is 'Let Payroll Shine'. During the week we will all be wearing dark sunglasses and sunhats and will be taking part in a number of events to celebrate Payroll Week.

We will also try to make somebody else's life shine and will be collecting money for piglets in Tanzania in support of COCO.

The Uwawayaki Women’s Group in Majengo (a small village near Moshi) have recently started a pig rearing programme which is designed to raise hundreds of pounds every year from the sale of piglets, money that will be used to support the local nursery school and provide healthcare for the children and their families. The group need 6 piglets which cost £12.00 each to buy and about£20.00 to rear to maturity when they can either be sold at the market or be ready to produce piglets which can also be sold. Many of the children who attend the nursery school are orphans or from single-parent, vulnerable families and small income generation projects such as the rearing of pigs will ensure that the women’s group are able to provide a sustainable future for the school and the community they are part of.

We hope to collect a thousand pounds with your help and support. We thank you for taking the time to visit our page. Any donation no matter how small will be gratefully received and don't forget to name the Pig!!
