Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I am taking on the exciting challenge of running the London Marathon this year for Debbie Fund.

I am running for Debbie Fund because it is an amazing charity set up by my friends' families in memory of their mum. It's such an important charity, doing amazing work and helping to tackle one of the most common cancers worldwide - Cervical Cancer.

Debbie Fund has established, the world's first dedicated research programme into treatments for cervical cancer and every pound raised funds this research.

Debbie Fund was set up in memory of Debbie Phillips, who died of cervical cancer aged only 48 after years of mis-read smears. Debbie Fund is the only organisation devoted solely to the discovery of new treatments for cervical cancer, which is essential for prevention of women and their families, from falling victim to Cervical Cancer.

The research is close to being complete, and I would love your help in donating funds to help complete this. If there are any funds left over, they will be used for other cancer research projects within UCL, all which do amazing work themselves.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The Debbie Phillips Cervical Cancer Research Fund ("Debbie Fund") is a fund within University College London Hospitals Charity (Registered charity no. 1165398).
