DofE Diamond Challenge · 31 December 2016 ·

We’re more determined than ever to make sure new generations, especially young people from disadvantaged groups, can discover the power of DofE.

Story

My original idea for the challenge was to walk from Bath to Reading along the towpath of the Kennet and Avon canal, approximately 60 miles for the 60th anniversary of the DofE.

I live near Bath and I asked where the Duke of Edinburgh lives, my Mum said at Windsor Castle, so I am going to try to carry on along the Thames path from Reading all the way to Windsor.

When I did my Silver and Gold Awards I was helped by the Andover Open/Mencap centre. I hope people will sponsor me so other young people with special needs like me will be able to participate in the Award scheme.

I can't walk it all in one go, so I am doing the walk in sections about 10 miles each with the support of my Mum and Dad.
