Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I absolutely hate changing lightbulbs and that's OK because I'm a woman and everyone knows that that's a man's job! Aswell as changing the bins and killing spiders...
The point is - and yes there is a point - is that standing on a ladder or chair some 3 feet high makes me feel decidedly peculiar, but I thought that this challenge (Abseiling down a building that's about 30 times higher) was one that I could and would volunteer for. I'm doing this as my way of saying thank you to Acorns for providing my friends the Silk family such care and support this time last year.
I was very privalaged to have visited Niamh at Acorns last year and the activities that they provided for her and her big sister Emilie were absolutely wonderful. Niamh died at Acorns only one day after the Abseil will take place and I know that we shall all be thinking of her, as we do all year, but with thanks for her last weeks being so well supported.
